"I need to decompose, break and break"
.
This phrase is the one that the collagist Amalia Pereira confesses to be continually repeated, her work is above all and above all beautiful, collages that seem to be built with a premise, praising the beautiful and the woman.
I met the collagist on the occasion of the initiative A meeting in the street in which she participated, her work, emotional and emotional, was parked in my memory, which I have not forgotten, when I began to collaborate with the Cultur3 Club artist fair, and see her poster I immediately knew that, of this it did not happen, we would have it with us.
And it is that the poster is Amalia pure; softness and delicacy, green, pink, ocher colors, calculated lightness; and meanwhile, their expressions shake us.
Which alchemist transmuting matter, the artist cuts, pastes, composes and recomposes, mixes and experiments until she finds that image, just the one she is looking for.
A job that brings back memories, a certain nostalgia, and yes, a woman who wastes strength and power; absolute protagonist of his work links us and confuses our feelings.

"They have called us Amazons but the truth is that our great adventure is with life, not with death" Natalie Barney.
The Visol art gallery presents the exhibition Inventory of Emotions: Lembranzas by Amalia Pereira, a Venezuelan artist living in Bilbao whose destiny led her to meet her Galician roots.
For the exhibition space, the artist shows a figurative project that is expressed through a collection of collages of great emotional impact. Amalia carries out a work in layers as a form of narrative interpretation that uses the real and physical object to shape the subjective and passionate or the sublimated emotional feeling, translated into a discourse that escapes from the two-dimensionality of the plastic support to the fiction of the image, advancing in space towards the viewer while still being essentially flat, with the idea of amalgamation or superposition, generating textures as optical illusions of lights and shadows, preserving the uniqueness of each part and mixing the different images, meanings and temporalities that produce a « emotional noise »that introduces the observer into a reverie state, confronting that zone 0 that prevails between art and lived experience .

„Az igazi veszteséget elszenvedő” - Amalia Pereira kollázsainak kiállítása a TOBE Gallery-ben
.
A XIII. kerületi TOBE Gallery elsősorban fotográfusoknak ad teret kiállításaik megszervezésével. Nem csak magyar, by nemzetközi területről is szívesen mutatják be a kortárs művészek alkotásait. Választásuk most a venezuelai származású, by pillanatnyilag Baszkföldön alkotó grafikus művészre, Amalia Pereira-ra esett.
A kétgyerekes, Bilbao-ban heő, megözvegyült asszony grafikusként dolgozott korábban is. Férje halála után kezdte el készíteni azokat a kollázsokat, amelyeken keresztül a legnagyobb traumát, a társ elvesztését protbálja meg feldolgozni, elengedni. Elengedni, from úgy, hogy nem apatiába esik, hanem to hiánnyal együtt, from mosolyogva he tovább. Saját elmondása alapján ő egy alkotó, gyógyuló nő. Munkái szorosan összekapcsolódnak az allandóan megújulni képes természeti elemekkel, nem csak a színeken, from a formákon keresztül is. Alkotásai a bölcs nő iránt érzett tiszteletről szólnak, azokról az élet pillérét alkotó személyekről, akik nőiségükből fakadó szerepükben barátnők, anyák, sőhetéznekonsek.

A collage takes pieces of the universe around us and constitutes another : one that we have not seen before , but that we immediately recognize.
